Paint panic!

HATE the color of this room.
My fault. I chose it.
The new carpeting came in, love it. But now hate the paint color even more!
If that is even possible.

This is what it was. Loved it with the other carpeting.
Now, I don't think it would work as well.

This blue might be a contender as the new color or perhaps...
A chocolate brown?
What do you recommend?

Maybe a darker tan? You might need to bring in a pro!

I feel your pain. I had a room painted a similar color last year and all I saw was a band-aid everytime I walked in. I do have a chocolate brown room (a Ben Moore color) and I love it. It might be a great contrast with the wood.

Love love love my chocolate walls in my office. I have cherry stained oak crown and window frames and the room is everyone's favorite (it's also the smallest room in the house) because it is so "cozy".
We built in the early 90's when gray and mauve were the "it" colors. I have finally rid the entire place of any trace of either :-)

(as a site note, word verification is bless....just thought that was kinda sweet)

What colors are in the carpet? I like playing this game. Yet here I sit with paint samples still on my fireplace wall! :) xo

We've lived in our house for a little over a year and we have the same color on our walls as you. It's a neutral, but I wish it had more tan in it. I think a lighter brown could work really well on your walls, but would need to get a better idea of the rug color.
