Opportunity missed...

Oh sugar!
( you know what I really mean.)
For a day and a half I had all my children under one roof and I didn't get around to taking a picture to put on the Christmas card I am determined to send this year.
Shit. ( THAT is what I mean.)
I really want to send a photo card. It has been a couple of years and it is time. Also, people are starting to drop me from their list.
It is so true that if you stop sending cards...
you stop getting them.

So I have some schemes in my brain, tell me what you think.
  1. make a collage of all their baby pictures, put little wings on them and send it out as a Christmas angels theme? ( you can only imagine how that idea was received by my...ahem...angels.)
  2. take a pic of those that live here and photo shop the two other kids into the pic? ( my neighbor actually did that!)
  3. Take a pic of my husband and I and just put 5 dollar signs around us? ( so appropriate for this time of year, but maybe a tad too cynical.)
  4. wait until the weekend before Christmas when we will all be together, take a pic and send out cards the week of Christmas? ( will I still get cards from others, will they have any left?)
Maybe I should send a Christmas card with greetings and a plea to NOT be dropped from their lists because I really like getting photo cards even though I am too lazy to send them.
( they can keep the brag/Christmas letters though)

I love #3 :)

I am actually thinking of sending out a photo that was taken of the 5 of us LAST Christmas at a party.

Trying to get everyone together, let alone getting a shot where nobody is sneering or quietly showing the world their middle finger, then busting out laughing....well, you get the point.

I like #1. I did that last year and it turned out great. I put together a picture collage of everyone doing "their thing" during the year. It was a lot of fun and didn't require me trying to make everyone dress up, smile for hours and sit in different spots and poses (they are never smiling at that point). I love the photo on the front of your blog. Beach scene, white polos.....classic.

Are you saying if you dont send a photo you dont send a card at all?
Why not just send a card and work on a photo for next year - that way you can make everyone wear santa hats at the beach or something!

This will be the first year that I drop out of sending Christmas cards. Normally I have a family portrait (me, Ron, dogs) but not this year. I have to make a few "cuts" in the budget and the Christmas cards got the axe. xoxo

well....how about just send a regular card so you can get back on your friends lists...and then have all sorts of big plans for next year.

Too easy??
