You say fireflies, I say lightening bugs

Either way, it's that time of the year.
Grab some jelly jars and have some fun, remember to poke some air holes the lid.
And don't forget to release them, cuz it's all about the hunt!

I hope they are still around for our visit. I have such good childhood memories of chasing them.

You brought me back to a moment growing up. Hmmm... I think I'm going to be saving a jar this year who cares if I'm 5 or 50 to be chasing fireflies. Enjoy! xoxo

You know it is summer when you start seeing lightening bugs! Some of my best memories of my kids growing up are catching them and naming them. Since they were all girls we had a lot of girlie bugs named "Sparkle", "Glitter" and "Shimmer". We still get excited when we see them in the backyard!

I remember the first time I saw one of those. All my east coast college friends had grown up with them but I saw my first one last summer :)

Pink, I know- growing up in Seattle we did not see them either... until moving to NJ when I was 11

Summer- so much fun, right?

Frau- they will still be here!

Kw- we will save you some!

Joyce- I can picture you :)

Lisa- I love it! Nothing like girlie bugs! My daughter's 8th grade basketball team made their male coach CRAZY naming plays those EXACT names! Still makes me laugh when I think of it :)

Kate- You have had an exciting year topped with lightening bugs :)
