Still Stranded

Here's an update.

Still lucky enough to be at my sister's in Bremen, Germany rather than on a cot at Charles De Gaulle or Frankfurt airport.

Hope to leave on Thursday, if the new LARGE eruption of the Icelandic volcano doesn't send ANOTHER ash cloud this way. (looks like the UK may see it though)

The saboteur went to The Bremen International School with his cousin today.

I am hanging with Frau, drinking coffee, surfing the internet, and blogging-still in pjs!

I miss my husband and children.
I am stressing about all my biz events that begin this...SATURDAY!!!!
I also realize that my situation could be much worse and that I am very lucky.
I am also wondering, Should I learn some German?

There is nothing you can do about your Saturday events.... but I am sure it is nervewracking to not know when you will be able to get home. Too bad you and the Sabateur cannot click your heels three times....... that unpronounceably named Icelandic volcano is something else! I hope our local volcano, Redoubt, is not taking note! xoxo

Any chance there is someone that is knowledgeable enough to fill in for the events?

Try to enjoy the delay....once you get home you will hit the ground running!

My brother's translation for the Volcano is (ash-hole). I know bad taste--sorry.

My parents went to Greece to visit one of my brother's for Easter. My father had a medical emergency and they had to stay a bit longer than planned. (we want and need to get him back to the US). They were scheduled to return last Saturday. We are trying by hook and crook to gt them home. There is a cruise that leaves out of Athens but I am a bit nervous about his being on a ship for so long. it will go to NYC and then we have to get them back here. We have also looked into getting them from Athens via other routes.
The brother they went to visit lives in London and he was able to get back to the UK before this happened but his two sons are still in Athens.

I'm feelin' for ya. I hope you make it home soon. Don't you hate when something like this happens to ruin a wonderful time?
Yes, this might be a good opportunity to brush up on some German.

Don't worry about you business right now. Worrying doesn't help, and this is a once in a lifetime moment! Enjoy. I hope you get out of there on time, will be rooting for you. Have fun on the rest of your trip, and good luck!

Do you think the german teacher will give a 2 for 1 deal? It has to be difficult to want to be in 2 different spots. Also knowing you have so much to do before Saturday. Is there anyway to bring in the favors? Enjoy the relaxing day in your pjs and great sister bonding. xo

I have a friend named Allen stranded in Paris, trying to get home to L.A. So if you happen to meet a very personable, outgoing man wearing pants with paint stains on them (he's a painter) please say hi. He's really a lot of fun.

And just remember 2 things: Everything happens for a reason and you're exactly where you're supposed to be. If you weren't, you'd be elsewhere.

Relax and enjoy the Frau! Hi Frau! Love you both!
