Has it come to this?

We are expecting a ton of new snow tomorrow into the weekend. My friend Ina has mentioned these beauties...
She lives in ALASKA!!!!

I was picking up my daughter tonight from lacrosse and as I stepped out of my truck my feet went out from underneath me and I landed SPLAT on the pavement.
In the slush.
Luckily, I landed on the most padded part of me, my arse.
I wasn't hurt, not even my pride as no one saw me. I was soaking wet though!
It wasn't even icy out, just slushy, slippery slushy.
so I'm thinking with all this snow and ice predicted...
I better ask Ina where to get some shoe chains!

You can take the girl out of Palm Springs, but.....

Glad you weren't hurt.

Those would be very handy walking to my mailbox. Last year during our big snow my feet went out from under me and I hit my head first. This year I decided that the mail could wait. Looks like you're going to get it again....wow, it's been a big winter for snow in your area.

Thank goodness you didn't get hurt. I have never seen these little guys before. I sure could use these on our ski hill driveway! xo

I swear by my Ice Bugs!! They have the studs built right into them and keep me upright in the slipperiest of conditions. You will only want to wear them outdoors however, they are not good on floors.

Just Google Ice Bug shoes, they will come up. LOVE THEM!

PS you do not have much padding, dear. xoxo

I have the Yak Trax and so does my husband.
I made sure I bought a pair for my parents as well (though right now they are in South Florida so they don't need so much).
