My heart breaks for her family and how she may still be alive had she worn a helmet! Forget vanity, just wear one!! I feel totally unsafe without it, not that I'm a bad skier that needs one, just that you never know what up hill skier will become out of control! I hate to hear stories like this because I love skiing and I want people to enjoy it aswell, I hope this situation influences more beginner skiers so wear a helmet, we never know how that may have saved/helped her in her fall!
xokwhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13488824883216042177noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-979549460973710526.post-67540039829805709532009-03-18T22:22:00.000-07:002009-03-18T22:22:00.000-07:00Very very sad.Very very sad.Ina in Alaskahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07163454431322742148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-979549460973710526.post-8675397914743408482009-03-18T20:33:00.000-07:002009-03-18T20:33:00.000-07:00I am really saddened by her death. I will probably do a post on her, as she was one of my favorite actresses.
My son always fought us on wearing a helmet, thinking he was an expert. Now, after today, he said he will never touch a slope without his helmet. One of his favorite movies was "Parent Trap", that she starred in with Dennis Quaid, so I guess it hit home with him too.

XOXORondahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13819185025268191480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-979549460973710526.post-56491940907910265002009-03-18T19:23:00.000-07:002009-03-18T19:23:00.000-07:00She died today how horribly sad is that........She died today how horribly sad is that........Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-979549460973710526.post-32711594604641179132009-03-18T18:35:00.000-07:002009-03-18T18:35:00.000-07:00I just read on MSNBC that she passed away.I'm all ...I just read on MSNBC that she passed away.

I'm all for helmets too. You're right, most people think because they're on a beginner hill that it's not always necessary., I'm all for the helmets!
